PADI ASSISTANT INSTRUCTOR
The PADI Assistant Instructor program provides PADI Divemasters, and those certified to leadership levels with other diver training organizations, the opportunity to obtain additional training as instructional assistants and dive educators.

If you meet the above criteria then this program will build upon your abilities to organize and supervise dive activities, while concentrating on developing teaching skills. Through independent study, classroom sessions and practical application, candidates learn to construct effective teaching presentations and conduct PADI programs. To help you through the program, PADI has developed an array of learning tools such as the PADI Assistant Instructor Workbook.

To qualify for PADI Assistant Instructor training, you'll need to:

• Be certified as a PADI Divemaster or leadership level with another recreational diver training organization.
• Be at least 18 years old.
• Be in good physical condition for diving and submit a medical exam form signed by a physician.
• Have completed and logged at least 60 open water dives with experience in night, deep and navigation.

The PADI Assistant Instructor program consists of:

• Formal training in conducting PADI programs and experience programs.
• Independent study assignments.
• Practical application sessions.
• Written examination.

Most Certified Assistants ie. Divemasters progress immediately to the Instructor Development Course, However, with limited time the Assistant Instructor Course is a Great Option.

Cost: 20,000 Baht + Materials

Duration: 6 days

PADI Materials: (includes IDC materials: Instructor Manual – Log Book, Guide to Teaching Manual with appropriate Decal Sticker, Confined and Open water preparation slates, Aquatic Cue Cards from Open Water to Divemaster)

Paper/Digital Version: 15,500 Baht

Price will vary depending in what language materials are requested.

PADI Assistant Instructor Application Fees: $83.00 Australian Dollars paid directly to paid with credit card details.

Current Medical Statement Signed by a physician within the year of application.

Accommodation: Long Term options are available on a monthly basis. Rates vary depending on facility options, ie. hotwater and airconditioning. Average price for the month is 5000 baht - 10,000 baht per month + utlitilies.
